Images from Nevada & Utah
We have so much to share from our awesome trip out West. I had a little time this morning to work on some of my favorite images.
I saw this driving through the Valley of Fire in NV, and I had to stop. Inspired by Ansel's Moonrise over Hernandez, NM, 1941, I title this Moonrise over an RV Park, 2008.
This was one of the most peaceful and quiet sunsets I've ever seen. Mary and I climbed up a cliff to witness this one. Valley of Fire, NV
This was shot through the windshield... I was a little afraid to drive through it because it looked like something that the Roadrunner painted on the rock.

Your starry sky shots are spectacular!
Thanks Robert! I was kicking myself because I didn't bring a tripod, but I was able to use the roof of the car to give me some stability. Unfortunately, it only worked for a little bit until the wind picked up.
These are really awesome. Thank you for sharing these amazing shots!
Well it worked regardless of not having a ! Excellent!!

Beautiful! Love the moon rise over trailer park- and the star shots are incredible.
So I opened your blog, saw the first photo, and thought "hey that looks like the Ansel Adams photo with campers in it!" :)
Wow, I had no idea the stars were so bright and that rock could be so beautifully and naturally constructed.
The shots with the stars are incredible, these are really great photos!!
I definitely thought of Ansel with that first shot before I saw that was the inspiration! Great starry night shots...scenary looks familiar, I think I've been there!
