New ii website!

If you've visited the imagine imaging website this morning, you'll notice things look a little different. We've launched our new BIGGER and better website! There are still some pieces to the puzzle that need to be added, but we should have everything up and going in the next week or two. Let me know what you think!

Moka

This morning, we had one of our many breakfast meetings over some chocholate and banana crepes at Moka in New Haven. Moka is one of those incredible places where you can just hang out and talk about life, while sipping a hot cup of cocoa. Joe the manager is an awesome guy. He's always super friendly, and he hand delivered our food to the couch. Moka always has a great photography show in their gallery...we're hoping to have a show there for The Portrait House in the coming months (more on the PH to come!).

The look of Joy

There is nothing quite like the look of joy in a loved one's eyes. We see it when we photograph weddings, we see it when we shoot engagements, but sometimes we don't always see the joy in the everyday. Yesterday, I suprised Mary with a cup of Starbucks on my way back from the studio. For her, the feeling she gets when she sips her grande latte is well worth the $3.50 markup on a 5¢ cup of coffee. I'm not a coffee person, but there is nothing better than the look in her eyes when she sees that white cup in my hand - Priceless. For Cooper (my other love), joy comes in a much different form. You should have seen him today as I hauled the 37lb bag of Purina One into the kitchen! I'm sure he thought he had died and gone to puppy heaven. Sometimes you don't have to look far to find the joy in your life.

Connecticut has a PUG!

Mary and I are so blessed and honored to be leading the new CT PUG (Pictage User Group). The group met last night for our very first meeting at Nikki Nicole's new studio in Rocky Hill. Nikki is such a wonderful person and has quickly become a great friend of ours. We had such a huge turnout...We had 17 photographers from 13 different studios! Everybody was incredible and by the end of the night we were definitely feelin' some West coast style love ;-) Who said us New Englanders couldn't be warm and fuzzy?

Long after the meeting offically ended, we had a great time talking and hangin' out with Paul and Krystal from Studio Foto. These guys are amazing and really know a ton about running a successful business...sit down and talk with them if you ever get the chance. I guarantee you'll learn somthing!

An old post from November 29th "Chocopologie!"

Last night we had the great pleasure of joining some of the top local wedding professionals for a “Chocolate infused high tea” at Chocopologie in South Norwalk. Fritz, the owner welcomed us into his restaurant with the most amazing assortment of chocolates EVER! It was yet another awesome event put together by Traci Romano of The Romano Group. Traci is such a great person...one of those truly kind souls who would do anything to help you. We are so lucky to call her a friend!

Yum!

Here's an old post from Nov. 14 called "Awesome Wedding"

Well, we just wrapped up all of the editing and post processing on Tiffany & David’s wedding at The Branford House (where we're getting married this year!) Mary and I had an awesome time shooting and we were so blessed to be a part of their celebration. The day started out with torrential rains, gusty winds, and a flood that almost kept all of us from leaving the hotel. Luckily the tide went out and the flood waters receded, allowing us to leave, but it wasn’t before we made a call to the local fire department to “rescue the bride!”

At the very end of the ceremony, the rain stopped and the sun broke through the clouds over the Sound. It was some of the most beautiful light I’ve ever photographed in!

Watching the water rise

Amazing Light!

Take Two!

Well after many struggles trying to create my own blog I've decided to move here and start fresh. Of course, I don't want this to be the only post that you see tomorrow morning, so I'm going to carry over a few of my favorites from last year. I hope over the course of this next year that I can share my life with you, through pictures and words...and hope that you will want to share your lives with me in return. This is going to be a great year! God bless.
